Gene Expression Profiling

Description
High-throughput gene expression profiling of multiple markers is made easy with xMAP® Technology. While competing microarray technology allows for ultra high-density gene expression profiling, issues such as cost, throughput, and reproducibility with a 2-dimensional array are problematic in drug trials and in the clinic, where only a moderate number of genes are screened in thousands of samples. Solution-phase kinetics of xMAP microspheres yields more reproducible product manufacturing and quality control, as well as faster assay results. Parallel qPCR methods can be used to screen many samples at once, but more samples come at the expense of lower throughput. xMAP Technology offers the best of both worlds for gene expression – moderate to high multiplexing (beyond 100-plex) but with high-throughput and robust reproducibility.
